Guests will get to know elephants intimately at the camp of researchers Iain and Oria Douglas-Hamilton in the serenely beautiful setting of Samburu. They will track endangered rhinos and other wildlife reintroduced to the spectacular private reserve of Lewa near Mount Kenya. From the base of a stylish tented bush camp on the edge of the fabled Masai Mara Reserve, guests will be immersed in the lives of lions studied by teams from an innovative lion research project.
In the field, Frans will provide hands-on photographic instruction. Back in camp, Frans and Chris will share their knowledge of Africa and its wildlife through presentations and campfire chats. Guest speakers will add special expertise to a safari that is designed to be a unique opportunity for those keen about wildlife photography, an intimate experience for those passionate about wildlife, and an inspiring trip for those interested in learning about the state of wildlife conservation in Kenya. After the trip, guests will receive a custom book produced by Frans and Chris and illustrated with photos by safari participants, as a unique remembrance.
